Week 8: How can we protect our planet?

This week you will need your PE kit on Monday afternoon for the run through for Soke Sports. On Tuesday afternoon, some parents have kindly offered to help us sort out our gardening bed. If anyone has any plants to spare, can you please bring them into school for Tuesday?
We have a special visitor in school on Thursday morning who is coming to talk to us about Buddhism. There will be no swimming on Friday morning because we are walking down to Church for a Patronal Service- please remember to bring a coat in case it rains!

Week 7: My Money Week

What do we need money for?
This is one of the many questions we will be discussing this week.
SRE sessions will also continue this week and on Monday, we are expecting visitors from AMVC to talk about transition.
On Tuesday afternoon you need to look smart because we will have Class and Team photos, and on Wednesday afternoon, the Kwik Cricket team are playing in the tournament at Peterborough.
On Thursday there will be a Gold Book Assembly and a School Council Meeting, and we round off the week with swimming on Friday.
Just a few photos from last week...

Week 6: Man Overboard!

Welcome back for your final half term at Barnack School!
Thank you for all your half term haiku- there are just one or two missing?
This week is a very sporting week with Cricket Coaching on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and then the build up to Sports' Day on Thursday (weather permitting!)
Hopefully Deeping Pool is now 'sorted' so we will finish the week with swimming on Friday morning.

Half Term Haiku Homework

Add your haiku poems to our Blog. Can we work out what the poems are about? Do they follow the correct syllabic pattern?

Week 5: Walk to School Week

It is the final week before half term and we will be considering the advantages of walking to school. What do you think are the advantages of walking to school?
Please remember your PE kit each day so we can take every opportunity to go outside (weather permitting) and practise for Sports' Day.
This week I will also need a group of children to help with the teacher interviews on Thursday.

Week 3: Extreme weather conditions

The May Day assembly went really well on Friday and it was so nice to see Leoni and her family back for a visit. I will upload some photos when I get back to school. I hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine this weekend for the May Day Bank Holiday.
It's back to school tomorrow with only 4 days left until the SATs next week so there will be lots of revision this week!
There will be a Gold Child assembly on Thursday and swimming sessions start on Friday.
