Year 6 Bikeability sessions will be taking place this week- don't forget to bring your bike and safety helmet into school. We have a special visitor in school on Wednesday morning working with the Year 5 and Year 6 children -those who are not on cycling training.
This week we will be looking at explanatory texts. Can you find an example to bring to school to share with the class?

An explanatory text is something where you explain something like how volcanoes are made or how the water cycle works. An explanatory text explains things about the topic you are trying to explain.

I am looking forward to bike abillty. As Rose said explanatary texts is a text when it explains a topic. Some coastlines are formed by the waves which erode the sand.

I hope the y6's enjoyed bike ability. I really enjoyed making our comic strips and watching the man draw all sorts of different things. I can't wait to do swimming. As we have been doing explanatory texts in class, I learnt that a explanatory text is a type of text to explain something, like it could explain how the Holebeck Hall Hotel fell down.

Umm hi guy just let u know that coming back tomorrow at 2:45 am and so busy packing sutcases for tommoroww morning whether is so hot hope it is for you!and carnt wait till I see you in . Got you all some harybos but Spain versan has a packet and thought they were ok even though don't like sweets well I didn't try them my dad did at the minute waited for signal for ages and do I need to bring in a poster like Becky in and learn my spellings oh and I did my homework on the plane cause I was bored bring it in on Monday when I get back.
